about

Composed and recorded in the south of Copenhagen during the last winter of covid lockdown (2021-2022)

Was a very nice and productive moment, the quiet and contemplative/dark vibe of the Danish winter combined with the covid lockdown created a unique season of musical creativity for the Afro-Mexican duo.

Many different grooves in fresh-heavy tracks came as a result of mixing the musical and technical skills of Motta with the big creativity to write lyrics of Spyda MC, his drumming skills and his unique voice smashing the beats with surprising syncopations and even with some verses in Spanish.

Within the hip hop style of Spyda MC, Emiku Lulo is an EP that plays with genres like dub, dark techno, west African, high life and baganda roots, creating a new fresh style by blending many worlds of music in one vibe.

Thanks a lot to all the artists who added magic to this project.
