Son of Adungu was recorded in 2021 in Gulu, Northern Uganda
The time we spent recording (around 2 weeks) brought a lot of light in our lives in those dark moments of the pandemic.
Son of Adungu is a great album composed by Otim Alpha and Leo PaLayeng that portraits a beautiful part of the Acholi music played all in major scales which has a very tight similarity with the Son Jarocho from Mexico.
Otim and Leo have been playing these songs for many years based in and oral tradition of learning music from generation to generation, keeping ancestral tunes and melodies alive
